First up, a massive thank you to everyone who took time to complete the survey. It was promoted through the Residents’ Association, via Facebook, the website itself and fliers were put through every door (there are 200 properties on the road).
There were 71 responses. 62 respondents completed the questions about the content of the website and 40 provided contact details for further updates.
All respondents have access to the internet. 63 people or 88% of respondents are interested in a website for the road. Two people said not and six are undecided. Respondents were asked to rank a number of options to identify which are the most popular.

In summary, you want to see articles and photos, but you want to be able to comment about them. You’d like to know what our local councils and politicians are up to. Information from the police about crime and relevant initiatives is important and you wouldn’t mind knowing about travel and transport in the area. Listings for local events and information about food and drink are also a priority. You’re keen to know about good tradesmen that people are happy to recommend and you won’t mind if there’s advertising from local businesses.
And finally, 56% of those who responded want to be kept informed. We really hope that some of them want to contribute as well. Are you interested in writing a post or supplying a picture? Please email suzanne_ashley@hotmail.com or leave a comment below.
We received over 20 additional comments, full of suggestions, questions and queries. We’re sifting through them and will post again with responses and ideas.
